About the name

I forgot to thank my friend Chris Anderson (The Long Tail man with a blockbuster book about the end of blockbusters) for pointing out the obvious name I need to use for my blog. I hope I don't have to pay royalties for the name...

While the connection is not always obvious for non-tailies - I beleive that the name is a perfect combination with double meaning, covering botht he enterprise software space and alternative transportation. In the enterprise we are seeing the effect of long tail processes around the enterprise which were triggered at SAP with NetWeaver and the Business Process Platform. The connection of the Electric Vehicle "virtual tailpipe" to the power-plant in order to eliminate local fossil fuel emissions, by hopefully generating the electricity through a renewable clean electricity source.
